These are a sample of my experiences, successes, failures and philosophies into tangible, bite-sized nuggets. I've got a lot to say and sometimes an unorthodox way of saying it- enjoy a slice of Tom pie.
Tom's Thoughts On...
There are so many new technologies that allow for people to be laser focused.
But what happens when everyone focuses on the trees, and nobody is looking at the forest?
In the wake of this trend, we are boxing out the role for people that can see across boundaries and synthesize big ideas and look out for macro trends. Long live the generalist!
What happens when work becomes...work?

What I'm talking about is the innate, gut-level feeling that a customer gets when they think of dealing with your brand. For the longest time, this valuable touch point has been overlooked, but I'm happy to see more and more companies taking serious effort in making sure they provide world class experiences.
I challenge you to say yes. To seek out adventure and experiences that may feel uncomfortable. The great thing about life is...it's yours. So, if you choose to seek the experiences that are out there waiting, you will be fulfilled. Yet, if you don't, the only person you will hurt is yourself.
I challenge you to let your guard down as you look at your teams and companies from a different perspective. To review how you utilize power and new ways that you can explore to better harness that incredible team you have brought together. The power that comes from increasing the collective good is bound to surprise you.
How do you provide a helping hand while allowing others to retain their dignity? How do you go about asking for help? My thoughts on a tricky topic.
The grand irony is that we have more opportunities to communicate, but we are failing worse than ever to actual understand each other.
